Your professional Congo safari driver guide will pick you up from your place of residence as early as 6:00am after your breakfast and start the drive to the park headquarters. Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you will be briefed by the park rangers and this is the time when you are allocated a gorilla family to trek. The briefing starts at 8:00am as the rangers take you through the gorilla trekking etiquette for a Congo gorilla tour.
After briefing, you will head into the jungle with other trekkers and armed park rangers for about 2-5 hours depending on where the gorillas spent the previous night. After meeting the gorillas, you are allowed to spend only 1 hour at the presence of the mountain gorillas as you take your memorable pictures. After the trek you will return to the park headquarters where you will meet your driver guide for a drive back to your place of residence or lodging facility in Goma.
